Hmmm, Japanese music... I think it's not really my style of music. All the anime's I watched had a Japanese theme song. Sometimes it was on the edge, but sometimes it was like OMG this can't be music anymore! Like the current opening song of the anime Death Note. o__0

I wanted to say that I do have a favorite Japanese song, although this is a song without words.

The song Smurfje posted is like the opposite of the Death Note opening song.

I'm glad they left the song intact, in most transalated animes the Japanese and the English theme song are a world of difference.

I've only heard the Japanese song, I don't think I'll bother myself with wathcing the English one. XD

Don't say that too soon, Tohru~san! You can't base your opinion of the show just from the opening song. ^^ I don't like the opening song of Fruits Basket, but that doesn't mean that it's a bad show. XD

But indeed, Death Note is very different from Fruits Basket. Death Note is more for adults, I really wouldn't show the show to little children. ^^

You might want to give it a try, Tohru. I did so with Fruits Basket, although my first reaction to the show was "Yuk!".
