Post  Nyuka Thu May 31, 2007 6:32 pm

And here is Lesson #4. If it's too much to learn all at once (Along with the other 3 lessons.) then I will only give a test about lesson 1 till 3. ^_^ Let me know.

Lesson #4 - START

This will be an English - Japanese lesson.

samui

Lesson #4 -END

I don't think that this was too much to learn, was it? ^_^
As for the test, I will give the questions the day before I want the answers, in the Homework-section you can see which day that will be. That means you have two days for making homework; please don't cheat. It will only be unfair towards yourself and me.

Good luck studying!

I understand it perfectly. Well... I got some questions.

1. Can I use Suzushii also like That's pretty cool! Cool ?
2. Who do you say ui in Japanese? Like in Samui.
3. Can I use Suppai also by persons?

When you have questions you don't understand it perfectly. Wink

1. No, it's about temperature not about people. I believe I have something about that somewhere in my DOC.files, so I will look it up for you. But for now you can say that it's pretty amazing or something like that, the word for that (also means great) is sugoi.

2. Samui = samwie, that's the closest I can get when I type it. I could say it to Noah once and then she can say it to you, since she lives close to you. ^_^ But don't think this counts for all the words with an ''ui'' in it! I can't think up an example now, but when I cross one I will show it to you.

3. No, you can't. This is about food.

I hope this helped you to understand.

Yeah, it helped. Thank you. But what about the words in this lesson with an ui. Are they all the same? Or else, could you explain every word with an ui of this lesson? Smile

No not really, well it CAN be used that way.. Naruto likes to make words longer if you understand what I mean.. it's like..
''ohayo'' becomes ''ohayoooo'' and ''sugoi'' actually is ''sugoi'' where the g sounds at the g in the english word ''go''.
But if he streches the word it becomes: ''sugé''. ^^ If you listen very good then you can hear that where you've written a ''k'' is supposed to be a ''g'' ^^

Atsui, yasui and samui are all pronounced with the ui = wie.

Maybe some basic sentences?
Like:
- How are you?
- I'm fine.

Can't you better do something like: Lesson #5 = Colours. Lesson #6 = Easy sentences.

I think they don't really fit in the same lesson. clown

Colours aren't that big a deal. It's like... Waaaay less then the numbers. 1/6 of it. It's no big a deal at all. Besides, it's my lesson so my way, or the highway! (I love that sentence. XD I'll put it in quotes.)
